WHAT ON EARTH AM I HERE FOR?

4o Days of Purpose – Part 1

LIFE’S 3 GREATEST QUESTIONS

1.   QUESTION OF EXISTENCE: WHY AM I HERE ?

Jeremiah 20:18 Why did I ever come out of the womb to see trouble and sorrow and to end my days in shame?

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Isaiah 64:8 Yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.

Proverbs 16:4a The LORD works out everything for his own ends…

Proverbs 16:4a (God’s Word Version) The Lord has made everything for His own purpose

1 John 4:10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Ephesians 5:1 Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children…

Answer: You were CREATED to be loved by Him!

Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless. Bertrand Russell, Atheist

2.  QUESTION OF SIGNIFICANCE:  DOES MY LIFE MATTER?

Isaiah 49:4a But I said, “I have labored to no purpose; I have spent my strength in vain and for nothing.

Psalm 139:13-16 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, 16 your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Answer: Your life matters because you MATTER TO GOD! You matter so much that He wants you TO LIVE forever with Him!

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

1 Thessalonians 5:10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him.

3.   QUESTION OF INTENTION:  WHAT IS MY PURPOSE?

Psalm 89:47-48 Remember how fleeting is my life. For what futility you have created all men! 48 What man can live and not see death, or save himself from the power of the grave?

Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Colossians 1:16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

Answer: I discover my purpose by getting GETTING TO KNOW GOD and by reading His “OWNER'S MANUAL.”

John 1:12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God…

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Dear God, I want to know the purpose of my life. I do not want to waste another day going through life not knowing why I am here. God please forgive the sins that I have done against you.  Nothing is too big for you to forgive.  I ask You Jesus Christ to start changing me from the inside out beginning right now. I want to know you and the purposes for which I was created.
I turn to you and ask you to be the leader of my life. I give you my heart, my soul, my life, my past, and my future. Thank you for dying for me.  Help me to live for you, now and forever. Amen.
