You Were Meant to Live for so Much More  

 

1) You were meant to live in a relationship with Christ

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Acts 3:19-20 (NLT) Now turn from your sins and turn to God, so you can be cleansed of your sins. ²⁰Then wonderful times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord…

Jesus Christ, This is it.  Today I'm starting a relationship with You.  I turn from living for myself to you. I ask You to forgive me for the wrong things I've done. Thank You for forgiving me so I can start to feel closer to You.  I want You to start to show me how to live.  Direct my life.  Please take over my life and guide me.  I have a lot to learn.  Would You please teach me? Help me to live for you every moment of my life. Amen.

 

2) You were meant to belong to a spiritual family

Colossians 1:24 (NLT) I am glad when I suffer for you in my body, for I am completing what remains of Christ's sufferings for his body, the church.

 

Ephesians 5:30 for we are members of his body.

 

1 Timothy 5:1-2 Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, ²older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.

 

John 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

 

3) You were meant to live doing great things for God

Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

 

1 Corinthians 12:7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

 

Ephesians 3:20 (NLT) Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.

 

4) You were meant to live so that others might know Christ

Daniel 12:3 Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.

 

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

 

How Can I Make Sure I live for what I am supposed to?

 

1) Walk with Jesus - Read His word, pray, church, Home Team, obey, give

 

2) Be faithful in the little things

 

3) Always be teachable
